Pilar Rubio hits out at those who label her only as PSG superstar Sergio Ramos’ wife
Pilar Rubio has slammed those who do not acknowledge her accomplishments and label her just as PSG ace Sergio Ramos’ wife. The 45-year-old has claimed that she has had a decorated career, which speaks for itself.
In an interview in April, she told MARCA:
“The people who label me like that ... someone who is very clueless. In the end, I have been working for 27 years. Yes, I am Ramos' wife, and he is my husband, but that's it. It doesn't mean they belittle you.“I'm a hard worker. I've been working in this field all my life, and I'm still doing it. I haven't stopped working, and I have no intention of doing so.”
Pilar has been working as a collaborator on the Spanish show “El Hormiguero" since 2014. She has also presented renowned shows like “¡Más que baile!”, “Operación Triunfo,” “XXS”, “Todo el mundo es bueno” and her claim-to-fame, “Sé lo que hicisteis”.
Paris Saint-Germain still has not yet made a final decision regarding Sergio Ramos’ future at the club. PSG does have plans to address this matter, but it will only do so once it officially clinches this season’s Ligue 1 title, according to a report from Mundo Deportivo.
Ramos is set to hit free agency in the upcoming summer transfer window. Mundo Deportivo adds that the veteran Spanish defender is open to staying put at PSG, but he has not received a contract extension offer from the club.
Mundo Deportivo noted last month that Ramos and his entourage do anticipate that they will receive an extension offer from PSG, but they expect that it will not be on the same terms that the center-back agreed to with the club two years ago.
Ramos signed off on a two-year free transfer deal with PSG in 2021. He dealt with an injury-plagued season last year, as he did not feature in any of PSG’s eight UEFA Champions League fixtures in the campaign. The former Spanish international has emerged as a reliable defender for the reigning France top-flight champions in the ongoing campaign, logging a combined 34 appearances in the Champions League and Ligue 1 competitions.
Ramos is expected to next feature for PSG in its upcoming Ligue 1 away fixture against Angers.
