Chainsaw Man Statue Rips Through the Competition

Denji and Pochita come to life in Prime 1 Studio's latest Chainsaw Man collectible figurine that showcases the story's bloody and gruesome nature.

Prime 1 Studio has released a bloody and expensive collectible statue of the titular devil hunter from Chainsaw Man.

Available for preorder on Sideshow, the Denji figure sees the character triumphantly perched at the top of a pile of gore and viscera. Standing just short of two feet tall, the item comes with multiple interchangeable parts and a mini figurine of the adorable Pochita. It also comes with an astounding price tag of $1,599 and is expected to begin shipping in May 2024.

Prime 1 Studio's very pricey Denji/Chainsaw Man collectible isn't the only thing that readers of Tatsuki Fujimoto's series can spend their money on. Beyond purchasing copies of the manga, which currently sits as one of the best-selling manga of all time with over 24 million copies in circulation worldwide, fans will soon be able to buy pieces of clothing brand Uniqlo's special Chainsaw Man collection.

Chainsaw Man Fans Have Shown Their Love of The Series Through Creative Outlets

Moreover, fans also show their love for Fujimoto's dark shōnen series in ways other than financial. They also create cosplay, and in particular, the fan-favorite character Makima has inspired the imaginations of many costume-making masters. For example, Reddit user Arillinn_ shared their take on the high-ranking member of the Public Safety Division, which teases her nature as the Control Devil, and another Reddit user showed off their photo editing skills in a mind-breaking rendition of Makima.

The ongoing Chainsaw Man manga debuted in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump in 2018, and in 2020, it moved to Shōnen Jump+. The plot sees the incredibly impoverished Denji join the shady Public Safety Division after he is betrayed by his gangster employers and left for dead. As a devil hunter, he works to hunt down monstrous threats and eliminate them using his unique ability to transform his arms and head into chainsaws.

MAPPA -- the studio behind the anime versions of Hell's Paradise and Jujutsu Kaisen, the other two members of the shōnen genre's Dark Trio -- produced an adaptation of Chainsaw Man, which premiered in October 2022. Despite the franchise's massive following, the show greatly underperformed, calling into question if there would be a second season. While MAPPA has not confirmed the information at the time of writing, a prominent fan account has reported that the anime will, in fact, continue and also receive a tie-in movie.

Fujimoto's Chainsaw Man manga is distributed in North America by VIZ Media, and the anime adaptation is available to stream on Crunchyroll and Hulu.
