Leaked Bridgerton Season 3 Release Date Might Have Just Been Confirmed
Netflix accidentally reveals Bridgerton Season 3's release date, and an authoritative source seemingly confirms it.
A certain overview article about Apple TV+'s upcoming period drama series The Buccaneers -- which has been compared to Bridgerton, Netflix's historical fiction series based on the novels by Julia Quinn, all over the Internet -- unintentionally confirms the release date of the hit show's Season 3.
Fans have been obsessed with Bridgerton ever since its debut in 2020. From Daphne and Simon's tender love story in Season 1 to Anthony and Kate's enemies-to-lovers tale in Season 2, Bridgerton has become an undeniable cultural phenomenon, even spawning a spinoff series Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, which premiered to immense success in May 2023. Viewers have been craving Season 3 for a while now, hoping that it will come out in 2023, and Glamour, a trustworthy fashion magazine, has just published an article that contains information that can fulfill the fans' deepest desires.
According to Glamour, Bridgerton Season 3 will in fact premiere on Dec. 14, 2023 -- just weeks after The Buccaneers' November debut. It's worth noting that the magazine's revelation can't serve as an official confirmation of the series' much-anticipated release date until Netflix makes an announcement from its own or Bridgerton's account. Still, this is not the first time the audience spotted a hint that the show's Season 3 would see the light of day on this date.
December 14 Has Been Confirmed by Netflix Before
Back in June, Netflix Portugal's Instagram account seemingly leaked Bridgerton Season 3 release date, placing it on Dec. 14, 2023, but the information was since removed from the caption. However, one X (formerly Twitter) user has managed to take a screenshot of the original post.
Ever since June, fans have been convinced that Season 3 will be the audience's Christmas gift from Netflix. While the streaming platform has yet to confirm that Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington's love story will premiere in December, it has previously released the first looks at the upcoming season, featuring Nicola Coughlan's Penelope, Luke Newton's Colin, and Claudia Jessie's Eloise, as well as the official synopsis for Bridgerton Season 3.
After overhearing Colin's hurtful words in the last season finale, Penelope is not going to wait for Mr. Bridgerton anymore and is now determined to find herself a husband. Ironically, Colin is the one to help her accomplish that task by teaching his longtime friend ways of emanating confidence -- that is, until he realizes his own emerging feelings for Penelope mid-deed.
