Devon Sawa says he wasn't only unpaid for his appearance in Final Destination 5, but he didn't even know about it until after the movie's release. In the original Final Destination movie, released in 2000, Sawa played Alex Browning, one of the few survivors who'd managed to cheat death. Unfortunately for Alex, the character was killed off-screen, as revealed in Final Destination 2. The 2011 sequel Final Destination 5 links back to the original movie with archival footage used to bring back Alex for a special appearance. However, ComicBook.com reports that Sawa has revealed that the cameo came as a surprise to him, as he wasn't paid a cent for it. The comments come shortly after the SAG-AFTRA strike began. "I never got paid a cent for Final Destination 5," Sawa explains. "They didn't even tell me I was in it when they invited me to the premiere.
