If so, who will remain a part of the team, or more importantly, who will lead the those who stay onboard? Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’s Trailer Solidifies the Best DCEU Rivalry

Aquaman and Black Manta's rivalry is stronger than ever in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, making them the only DC rivals to thrive in the DCEU. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is the last entry in the DC Extended Universe, bringing back Jason Momoa's Aquaman for one final adventure. The main threat is Black Manta, who also returns from the first movie. With his hatred for Arthur Curry reaching a fever pitch, Black Manta's relationship with the King of Atlantis is officially the best hero/villain rivalry in the DCEU. Most of the other Justice League members had somewhat disappointing takes on their most iconic rivalries from the comics. In the case of one hero, in particular, he never really faced any of his classic villains. Aquaman definitely won't suffer from that problem, with his war against Black Manta potentially ending the DCEU on a high note. In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Plaza admitted that her failed Deadpool 2 audition was probably the one that she’s the most disappointed in out of all the roles she wanted to get but didn’t. She explained that she wasn’t in a good condition when she did her audition for the Ryan Reynolds-led superhero sequel, since her focus was split with another project she’s filming at the time. Coincidentally, the said project was FX’s Legion, a TV adaptation centered around an X-Men character. "I don’t know, the one that sticks out to me for some reason, I think it was Deadpool 2. I had just come off a plane

"We were constantly referencing Steven Spielberg – you know, that childhood wonderment quality," Tammi told Total Film. "Alongside kind of a darker world that felt akin to Joker." She also revealed that some of the scenes "that have to do with our main character's backstory and memory were also influenced by a [Terrence] Malick-esque camera style, to give them a more dreamlike quality… those scenes that were taking place in forest campground settings. There were a lot of different types of references we were pulling to really craft something that felt unique." Five Nights at Freddy's is based on the eponymous point-and-click survival horro

The problem is that that meant that Peter Parker now is the current host for the Sins of Norman Osborn, which means that he is now very much NOT your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man any

Why Donghua Will Never Replace Anime

Donghua is increasingly popular, but concerns over its potential replacing anime are ignoring the medium's biggest hurdles to long-term success. Anime is one of the most popular mediums around the world, with its success reaching far beyond its native land of Japan. It's part of the reason why Japan as a whole has made more cultural inroads than other Asian countries, with South Korean media only becoming a major international force in the past decade. Now, however, Japanese animation is facing stiff competition from China. Referred to as donghua, Chinese animation is beginning to give anime a run for its money. This has some anime industry veterans worried about the future of the country's animated works, especially given concerns over creativity. While these fears might be valid, it's highly unlikely that donghua will come to truly compete with anime anytime soon. How Is Donghua Different from Anime? Donghua isn't a modern phenomenon, and Chinese animation has bee

Josh Charles' Sports Night Role Remains One of TV's Best Characters

Many TV characters capture one idea. Josh Charles' performance as Dan Rydell in Sports Night embodies more than one when examined 25 years later. Sports Night is still a part of the television lexicon, 25 years after its debut on ABC, for a myriad of reasons. The series introduced TV viewers to a then still nascent Aaron Sorkin, who had penned the Academy Award-nominated films A Few Good Men and The American President -- the former based on his successful Broadway play -- but had yet to become a bona fide superstar. It became Exhibit A that laugh tracks don't work and audiences don't need to be told what's funny. It made people who didn't care about sports understand at least a few things about sports. But the primary reason why the series continues to be a cult hit, far outliving its original two-season run, is its wonderful characters. Sorkin made some bold choices and some bewildering choices in developing them, but he never played by the rules of the sitcom game

RUMOR: What If...? Season 2 Will Include Season 1's Lost Gamora Episode As Promised

A list of alleged episode titles for What If...?'s second season suggests that fans will finally see the Gamora-centric episode omitted from Season 1. What If...? Season 2 will make good on head writer A.C. Bradley's promise to air the animated anthology series' "lost" Gamora episode, according to a recent rumor. The rumor comes via The Nerd Rage Podcast, which recently posted a list of purported episode titles for What If...? Season 2 on X. This list included an installment called "What If…? Gamora Killed Thanos," which seemingly aligns with the basic premise of an entry famously developed for, but ultimately cut from, What If...? Season 1. Bradley assured Marvel Cinematic Universe fans that the untold story would be included with What If...?'s second batch of episodes back in October 2021, and The Nerd Rage Podcast's episode title list would appear to bear this out. That said, as neither Marvel Studios nor Disney+ has verified the accuracy of t

Ahsoka's Latest Episode Confirms That [SPOILER] is Force Sensitive

Ahsoka Episode 5, "Part Five: Shadow Warrior," seemingly removes any doubt that one of the Star Wars show's characters can use the Force. Ahsoka Episode 5, "Part Five: Shadow Warrior," just confirmed that Jacen Syndulla (Evan Whitten) is Force-sensitive. While many fans assumed that Jacen inherited the ability to use the Force from his father, Star Wars Rebels' Kanan Jarrus, Ahsoka's fifth installment appears to make this supposition canon. Jacen's apparent connection to the Force is demonstrated midway through "Part Five: Shadow Warrior," when he alone can "hear" the duel between Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) and Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) in the World Between Worlds. Previous episodes of Ahsoka established that Jacen dreams of becoming a Jedi Knight like his late father, and this feat suggests the green-haired tyke may have what it takes to do so. That said, Jacen's Force sensitivity wasn't the most talked abou

Multiverse of Madness Concept Art Gives Scarlet Witch a Horrifying Flesh Crown

Concept art created for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness reveals the Scarlet Witch's original horrifying crown of her own flesh. While Scarlet Witch in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness may have been scary already, her first redesign was even more horrifying. Per a selection of images posted on Reddit that originally appeared in Marvel Studios' Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness: The Art of the Movie, Wanda's embracing of the Darkhold was originally meant to physically transform her. This version of the character seemingly wore her crown as he own skin with stretches of flesh covering her glowing red eyes. Several other versions continue the trend of Scarlet Witch's gruesome headpiece with one covering her in what appears to be fire and blood and another warping the actual look of the crown. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness shocked audiences by unleashing the full might of the Scarlet Witch on the titular superhero. Following the

This Friends Theory Explains Ross and Rachel's Rocky Relationship

A Friends fan theory explains why fan-favorite couple Ross and Rachel had an on-and-off relationship for the entire duration of the show. Friends ran for ten seasons, the last one airing in 2004. Despite the fact that the series hasn't been on air for almost two decades and some of Friends' storylines are problematic, the goofy show has gathered a devoted audience and keeps entertaining fans of different generations. The comedy sitcom focuses on the life of six different, yet charming characters, as they navigate life in New York in their 20s, and it includes a lot of rocky relationships. One of the most familiar aspects of Friends was Ross and Rachel's will-they-won't-they relationship, which happens throughout the entire series. Their romance included unrequited love, jealousy, cheating, pregnancy, and the famous "we were on a break" dilemma. The two had an on-and-off relationship throughout the sitcom's ten seasons, with the audience constantly wonderin

The MCU's Mark Ruffalo Channelled His Childhood Rage to Portray The Hulk

Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo opens up about how the anger he felt during his formative years informed his portrayal of the Jade Giant. Marvel Cinematic Universe veteran Mark Ruffalo drew on the rage he felt during his early years to help him bring the Hulk to life on the big screen. Ruffalo discussed how his childhood anger informed his portrayal of Bruce Banner's green-skinned alter-ego during an Emerald City Comic-Con 2023 panel, excerpts from which recently resurfaced online. "I think we all probably -- little kids really relate to the Hulk, because… everyone's always telling them, 'Don't! Stop! Stop it! Don't do that! You'll break things! You're out of control!' That was my whole childhood and much of my teens," he said. "That anger, that unexpressed anger, as nice as I might seem, my kids would probably tell you I could be angry. That's always been something that I've related to, especially when I was younger." "I mean, I

The Crow Reboot Teased as 'Anti-Marvel Film' by Producer

A producer for the upcoming reboot for The Crow says the film will "blow people away" and could be the start of a new major franchise. The upcoming reboot of The Crow is getting a lot of hype ahead of its release, with one producer promising that the film will "blow people away." Recently, it was revealed that a new movie based on James O'Barr's The Crow graphic novel had been acquired by Lionsgate. Directed by Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman), the film stars Bill Skarsgård (IT) as a murdered man who comes back from the dead with the help of a mysterious crow to avenge the killings of himself and his fiancée (FKA Twigs, Honey Boy). Sam Pressman's Pressman Film is one of the companies producing the feature, and he spoke about how excited he is for filmgoers to see the movie, feeling that it has the potential to spawn an all-new massive franchise. “The Crow has been a very central and integral part of our company and I’m really proud of the pro

Nuzlocke Tips & Tricks For Every Pokémon Generation

The Nuzlocke Challenge was created to make Pokémon harder, but not all generations are at the same level. Pokémon as a franchise is not known for particularly difficult mainline games. Even with the introduction of open-world games in Scarlet and Violet, wherein players can easily challenge trainers at a higher level at any time, the games remain straightforward to complete. For long-time players the explanation is simple—once the basic strategies of the game are grasped, any trainer can be a breeze. To this, the Pokémon community has developed a non-official rule set to increase the challenge: the Nuzlocke Challenge. The first mention of Nuzlocke emerged from a short 2010 webcomic by Nick Franco, laying out the rules for a new "game mode" in Pokémon. The name is a portmanteau of Nuzleaf and John Locke (from the hit show Lost), as a Nuzleaf and Seedot with his face often appeared in the comic. Essentially, a basic Nuzlocke consists of three rules: trainers can only catch the

My Adventures With Superman Exposed Jor-El's Flaws in Man of Steel

Superman's animated series highlighted the character flaws in Man of Steel's Jor-El, and demonstrated his lack of understanding about human morality. Jor-El had questionable beliefs in Man of Steel, and My Adventures with Superman highlighted just how flawed the character was. The DC Extended Universe's version of Jor-El was a major aspect of Clark Kent's transformation into Superman. However, this Jor-El had an unjustifiably biased view of his son's new home planet. Man of Steel introduced Jor-El as Superman's paternal mentor for the DCEU. Jor-El told Clark Kent about Krypton's destruction and Clark's life purpose on Earth. But other Superman media, like My Adventures with Superman, have suggested that the DCEU Jor-El was not as benevolent as he appeared to be. Jor-El Believed Mankind Couldn't Be Good Without Clark's Guidance Superman's father vastly underestimated humanity's knowledge of basic morality in Man of Steel. Jor-El's flaw

Disenchantment Finally Spotlights One of its Most Underrated Characters

The final season of Matt Groening's Disenchantment on Netflix finally spotlights one of the show's most underrated characters, Mop Girl. The fifth and final season of the animated fantasy series Disenchantment, created by the mind behind the Simpsons, was released on Netflix, marking the culmination of Queen Bean's and her friends Elfo and Luci's misadventures. This concluding season unfolds with an epic final battle, requiring Bean's confrontation with her mother, Queen Dagmar, who has taken over Dreamland. However, even though this trio of misfits has been the show's central focus, one character is finally getting the recognition she deserves: Mop Girl. Disenchantment is just one of the projects that Matt Groening has co-created alongside David X. Cohen, which includes Futurama. Therefore, it isn't surprising that the two shows now seem to coexist in the same universe. The latest season presents many challenges for Bean and her crew, which also involves Be
